The Crafty Nomad is owned by Jo Westfoot.  Jo runs sewing classes and workshops teaching all the aspects of sewing that she loves!  She is self taught, apart from the little bit of sewing that was taught at school many, many years ago!  Her goal is to de-mystify sewing so that it will inspire individuals to have a go at sewing and increase their confidence when using a sewing machine.  She loves to see people's reactions when they make something for the first time.

She started teaching sewing after so many people she met seemed to have a sewing machine but were afraid to try to use it.  Her aim was to dispel the fear of sewing and foster the 'Have a Go' attitude she picked up whilst living in Australia.

A little bit about the company name.  Why 'The Crafty Nomad'? Jo and her family lived overseas for about ten years in a few different countries.  And it was whilst living abroad that her love for crafting and sewing flourished, thanks to some crafty friends!  She started blogging whilst away so the name seemed a good fit.  Although now back in her native land she decided to keep the name, and also use it as the business name as it describes her crafting journey well.
