What a whirlwind of a year!

Well Happy New Year to you all.  Hope you enjoyed last night's festivities and now feel ready for the new year ahead.  I thought I would take a look back at what I achieved last year.

It's been a busy year that saw the beginning of a new business for me, combining my hobby with work! I set myself up as a Sewing teacher.  I also sold my items at markets throughout the year.  It's been a learning curve! What have I learnt along the way?

  • Well I've learnt that I totally love teaching! I've met and formed partnerships with some great people along the way.
  • I've come to realise that I love seeing those 'light bulb' moments with the people who take my classes, when the penny drops and they really get it.
  • I've realised that selling my wares at markets really isn't for me!  And I am better off trying to match up my products to local stores.
  • This has confirmed to me that I love being creative every single day!

I thought I would share with you a summary of some of my projects from this year.  Feel free to click on the photos to see the original blog post if there is one.

I'm really looking forward to building my little business further this year and meeting more lovely people to introduce to sewing!  Sharing over at Lily's Quilts!
