FULLY BOOKED: Ever wanted to learn how to make traditional quilts? Come along to this 4 week course and learn all the skills needed to make a quilt. During the 4 lessons you will learn: how to cut your pieces using a rotary cutter; how to piece pieces together; how to baste the quilt top, batting and backing together; how to quilt straight lines; and how to bind a quilt. We will be making a mini quilt that will double up into a sewing machine cover. So you will be learning all the skills, applying them to a small scale item in class so that you can apply this to a bigger project at home. There may be homework in between classes.
This class is suitable for people who can confidently thread and operate a sewing machine independently and sew straight lines. It is suitable for people who are looking to take their first steps into patchwork and quilting.
The class is held at Sew busy, Branksomewood Road, Fleet, Hampshire.
To book you place, please call Nicola or Mary-anne at the shop on 01252 444220.
The total cost of the course is £80 for eight hours tuition spread over 4 evenings.
[As this is the first time this class has run, it is difficult to gauge time required. And as such we have set aside a further evening should anyone require additional class time. This will be assessed towards the end of the course and will be payable at that time]
